We provide a fully mobile FEES service throughout Orange County. Now standard practice within highly respected medical agencies, FEES is a well-tolerated examination to guide practicing speech-language pathologists in their clinical decision-making within dysphagia treatment. The procedure itself is minimally invasive,  relatively simple to perform, can be repeated as necessary, and allows for visualization within the throat to determine if swallow dysfunction is present. When dysphagia is suspected, next steps and decisions relating to diet recommendations, compensatory strategies, exercises and maneuvers should not be offered blindly. Utilizing visualization directly through FEES can drastically benefit patients and their family members with clear answers and guidance in moving forward. With this knowledge and insight into a person’s swallow function, we work directly with other medical professionals creating a well-rounded and multidisciplinary approach for the patient with their quality of life as the focus.
